What are they? Goody Boxes are just that – they are a box full of goodies! In these times we can easily forget how fortunate we are and how much we have around us – housing, food, warmth, gifts and the list goes on. It is easy to live in this “cocoon” and forget that there are so many around us that struggle for everything they have. Goody Boxes are a way of giving something back to the local community – to those whose need is greater than ours.
Who are we?

We are a local charity called in a heartbeat. Anyone to decide to make a change - to make a difference and they can make this choice in a heartbeat, to do some good in this sometimes mad world, and to do something to shine through all the troubles and grief around us and help someone else for no other reason than “you can”.

In a heartbeat deal with those less privileged than ourselves – it’s as simple as that. The first project for us was these Goody Box – there was an immediate and obvious need. Just think of all those Christmases when you have overeaten and when you have wondered if your children will ever know what to do with all those presents. We need your help to make these Goody Boxes a success and you can make that make that decision of success,
in a heartbeat -  so please make it !

2008 Goody Box Report

81 boxes at a cost of £81 per box were delivered just before Christmas, a large increase on last year. We received help from many people both in packing the boxes and in deliverying them. Many thanks to all involved.

Various fundraising events were held, including a Table Tennis competition in August and a Race Night and Raffle in December . We also received a very generous £500 donation from the Budleigh Salterton Lions.
